For Valentine’s Day this year, some jobs for our business (it has been really slow), and then being able to go shopping for some really hot maternity clothes. I am in that awkward stage at 4 months (#2 baby) where you don’t fit into your regular clothes, but maternity just looks huge! So, some in-between clothes would be a great gift. I love shopping! Thanks Glow Mama!

My best Valentine’s gift was from God, my dd who will be 8 on that day! We have yet to top that one! lol!

  26. Shelly F Says:

My husband and I have been “Happily Married” for 13 years- we have 3 children, 2 of which I stay home to care for full time. Our money is invested in our children and they always come first, with that being said FREE AND FROM THE HEART is what I ask for and get each valentines day from my family in the shape of hugs and kisses and unconditional love… I would however be open to a day spa.

  27. Heather Says:

Right after my son was born, I told my husband that all I wanted for Valentine’s Day was “a few pieces of really fancy chocolate” (read: snooty and beautiful hand-dipped truffles or the like). Bless his heart, he was trying, but what I got was several different chocolate bars from the local Whole Foods (admittedly, at least he didn’t buy Hershey’s!). I didn’t have the heart to try to explain what I was thinking of. Only another woman would get it… I still laugh when I think about his face when he gave them to me. He was so proud and had tried so hard. Sigh. The effort was priceless and made me love him even more… but I still want some truffles!!

  28. Sarah Says:

What I’d love most is a meal that I didn’t cook! It would be fun to have a gourmet-type meal at home, since I have a newborn and won’t be going anywhere fancy for a little while yet!

  29. sito Says:

I’d like a family day trip to go window shopping and have a great meal out in a restaurant.

  31. Heidi Says:

A bath. Really just a bathtub. Maybe with one lit candle would be fabulous. Our place just has a shower, and as a pregnant mama I am dreaming, dreaming, dreaming about baths…

Oh, a quiet walk hand-in-hand with my main squeeze would be pretty great too. Luckily, I think that’s going to happen. A little easier to arrange than installing a bathtub, no?

  32. Leah Says:

I already received my valentines day gift for 2009. I sent my husband out for some milk and he came back with 2 heart shaped boxes of chocolates. One had a snoopy picture on the front and he chose that because he sometimes calls me Snoopy because of this happy dance I do that reminds him of Snoopy from Peanuts and the other box was filled with peanut butter filled Jeff Gordon racecars. He’s my fave Nascar driver and I absolutely adore the chocolate and pb combo. I thought it was very thoughtful even though chocolates for Vday can be cliche.

  33. Sarah S Says:

mmm… I could just imagine how wonderful a spa day would be… It would indeed be my first ever, a great Valentines Gift!!!

I am 37 weeks pregnant and have an almost 2yr old daughter. I would love to kick up my feet for just one afternoon and relax with my husband. The inlaws offered to take our son for a few hours that evening. I hope to bring back some romance(at least for a couple hours…lol) I would love it if he would write me a love letter like he use to before being so busy with our baby. Its just nice to know your appriciated and loved and to always have the letters to look back on. Thats all I want. money is very tight so i like to look for ways to celebrate without spending any! With the economy the way it is right now, and not much job security, we are staying in tonight. But I did splurge and get some special things for dinner! I am actually so excited - I think this might be our best Valentine’s yet. It is so great to see how content we are in our love - we don’t need to buy the $4 cards and the $40 flowers…my husband and I KNOW that we are deeply in love…and that’s the best gift ever. Plus, this Valentine’s is our last before our first little one arrives in May! I am looking forward to spending the day with my husband and my little man inside my belly :) Thanks for the giveaway!

We went to a downtown restaurant we had never been to and had a relaxing dinner at a little candle lit table in the corner. It was a wonderful time to reconnect with each other, no kids. We also did it the weekend before so it wouldn’t be madness like it usually is on Valentines day.

My hubby attempted to make heart shape pancakes. (first time making pancakes and he did pretty good)

  110. Kelly Says:

We actually took our friends’ two kids for a sleepover on Saturday night, so they could have some kid-free time; real romantic for us, huh? ;-) But we don’t care about sticking to the exact day so much. :-) And I did get an extra hour of sleep Saturday morning, and while I did, my husband looked for the heart shaped pancake molds to surprise me with pancakes, but unfortunately missed them when he looked in the cabinet, and next thing I know my kids are running in going “Mommy, where are the pancake shapes? We have to make heart pancakes!” and then my husband found them in the cabinet where he’d already looked. :-) That’s just how it is in our house! I did get some pancakes out of it, in the end, though - just not breakfast in bed. :-) Which is fine because that would have been REALLY messy with two kids climbing all over me.

  111. Sara Says:
