Why do mommies go green?December 2nd, 2008 by Glow Mama
Could it be to save money? Who doesn’t want to help the budget these days by changing lightbulbs, making the home more energy efficient and using public transport (or even better, biking) instead of running the SUV.
Could it be to be healthier? Buying locally grown, organic fruits & veggies and wooden toys reduces the risk of exposure to harmful pesticides, chemicals and plastics.
Could it be to teach lessons of responsibility to our kids? Recycling, growing our own veggies and borrowing books from the library are not only fun but educational.
Could it be to ensure there’s a planet around for this next generation we’re creating? Eating only sustainable fish, preserving the equitorial rainforests and protecting the world’s fresh water supply really will make a difference in the lives of our children and grandchildren.
Or maybe it’s just trendy?
What do you think?
